Fotosynthesis uses photography and lens based arts to represent issues and communities ethically and as well as catalyst tools for individuals and communities to express themselves, connect, grow and learn.

We design and deliver short or long-term participatory photography processes involving a specific group or community around a collective theme to amplify voices, advocacy, or research.

The pandemic has not stopped us to care for people and to bring creativity, self-reflection, learning, fun and safe spaces to connect and share while being in our homes in front of a computer.

We believe education should be experiential and two-ways. We encourage the use of photography in the classrooms to inspire teaching staff and parents to use images as an educational tool.

We believe photography and moving images unlock stories and memories, foster dialogue, and can support processes of reconciliation and healing through active listening and empathy.
