Padre entiéndeme

Understand me, father

The purpose of this letter is to make parents aware that no task or job should be gendered. That women are able and have rights, just like men.

Carta:

Querido padre, me dirijo a ti.

Letter:

Dear father, I am addressing you. I hope you are well. The reason for this letter is to thank you for all the work you do, both, on particular things and within our family.

Remember that I respect you and love you very much. If I had to change something about you, it would be something I know you can do.

At home, my mother, my sister and I do everything possible to get ahead. But we would like you and my brothers to collaborate in the housework. That was formerly considered a women’s duty.

With this letter, dad, I want you to realize that there are no gender differences to carry out these activities, we can all play out part in doing them, with mutual help at home.

Att: Your daughter who loves you and admires you.
